BLOOMING UMBRELLA

This is a novelty way of imitating a small weeping tree in your garden. Remove the fabric covering from an old umbrella, exposing the spokes. If it has a large grip or curved end, remove it so the handle can fit inside a pipe.

You will need a hollow pole about 1.5 metres or you can use a longer one if you want a taller "tree". You could use a bamboo pole or a PVC pipe or anything else that has a hollow centre. It just needs to have a larger inside diameter than the handle of the umbrella after the curved end has been removed.
Insert the pole into the ground – at least 30cms to keep it from blowing over. For extra security you can bury a section of PVC pipe, larger than the diameter of the original and then slip the main pole into this.
Stick the umbrella into the hollow pipe. Then open the umbrella so the spokes are fully spread. To cover the "tree", plant vines to grow up the pole. You could even plant beans.
